Therapy

Coming to therapy takes courage. It can be uncomfortable to admit things aren’t going our way. It forces us to consider the need for change but doesn’t provide answers how. When faced with this kind of uncertainty, it’s not uncommon to feel overwhelmed. In circumstances like these, individual therapy can be of particular use.

 

Individual therapy offers clients an opportunity to get to know themselves on a deeper level. It can provide insight into who we are, how we behave, what we believe, and what we want and need. Armed with these understandings, we can then make changes that align with our true selves. What this process looks like will vary by the individual, but at its core, individual therapy helps clients unlock their innate potential and empowers them to live more authentically.

 

How I’ll work with you

I believe our relationship is the most important factor in you achieving the goals you set for yourself in therapy. Because of this, our first task is to create a trusting partnership where you feel safe enough to get to know yourself on a deeper level. Once trust has been established, we’ll collaborate to uncover any beliefs, patterns of behavior, or ways of relating that prevent you from living more of the life you want. This may involve exploring your past or examining how you view yourself and your future. No matter what approach we take, I will offer you a compassionate and non-judgmental space to better understand yourself, heal, and move forward.

 

What I want for you

My goal is to help you learn how to better help yourself, and I’m a firm believer every person has the inner resources to overcome life’s challenges. I want you to rediscover your innate potential, and I'm confident, through curiosity, collaboration, and understanding, we can put you on a path toward living a more meaningful life. This takes some effort, but I know how transformative this work can be, and I believe in the resiliency of each client.
